WEC lightweight champ Razor Rob McCullough spoke to the Tagg Radio crew last week after he successfully defended his belt against Rich Crunkilton and announced that his next victim will be Alex Karalexis.
Rob said that no date for the fight has been set, mentioning that November, December, and February were all discussed as possibilities. WEC featherweight champ Urijah Faber is scheduled to take on Jeff "Big Frog" Curran in December, so if the WEC adds McCullough to that card, that'd be the third card since August to feature two title fights.
As for Karalexis, who is 3-0 since coming to the WEC, I remember seeing him in the crowd at WEC 30 mouthing “I want the 155-pound belt. I’m gonna get it,” to the camera. Maybe he knew something we didn't.
