First, Dana White told The Oregonian that he and the UFC are getting close to signing Fedor Emelianenko. I believed it because I wanted to.

Then I read that a source close to the UFC told UFCJunkie.com that "Everyone [associated with the UFC] expects the deal will get done. They think it’s inevitable. They expect Fedor to be in a UFC fight before the end of the year." I believe this because I need to.
