EliteXC president Gary Shaw announced today that Los Angeles-based parent company ProElite, Inc. has acquired popular U.K. mixed martial arts promotion Cage Rage.
"This is an exciting day for all of our organizations, but the biggest winners will be fans in the U.K. With the acquisition of Cage Rage Championships, ProElite and EliteXC continues to establish itself as the fast-growing, premier MMA organization in the world," Shaw said.
Cage Rage promoter Andy Geer said last month that Cage Rage and EliteXC will be engaging in fighter exchanges as early as next year.
